Stainless Steel Table Overshelf
A stainless steel table overshelf adds a storage level above a preparation or plating surface. It is useful where supplies need to stay near the workstation and a wall-mounted shelf would not suit the layout. Match the overshelf to the table structure, the items being stored and the working space below.
Choose the Tier Layout Around the Task
List the plates, containers, utensils or packaging you want within reach. Compare a single-tier or multi-tier arrangement with the height of the staff, the room and any equipment on the table. Extra storage should not block visibility or make frequent items difficult to reach.
| Check | What to measure |
|---|---|
| Existing table | Overall dimensions, top edge profile and supporting frame. |
| Working clearance | Space needed for food preparation, appliance lids and lifting trays. |
| Stored items | Largest dimensions, loaded weights and expected positions. |
| Mounting | Proposed attachment points and access beneath the worktop. |
| Surrounding space | Nearby equipment, wall fittings and any overhead services. |
Confirm Attachment Before Ordering
Send photographs of the table edge, underside and frame. Ask for the mounting arrangement for that table rather than assuming a clamp will fit. The table and overshelf need to be reviewed together, including the way upper storage loads affect the complete workstation.
If the table itself needs replacing, compare the commercial stainless steel work table. For storage fixed to a suitable wall, see the wall shelf.
Coordinate Accessories and Cleaning
Include ticket holders, lights or food warming equipment as separate requirements. Their supports, services and clearances need confirmation for the offered arrangement. A storage shelf alone does not provide heated food holding.
Keep overhead storage clean and dry and avoid placing dripping items above exposed food. Allow access to wipe the shelf decks, uprights and attachment points. Confirm the allowable loading and use the shelf within those conditions.
Request an Overshelf Quote
Send the table dimensions and photographs, tier preference, required working clearance and a list of stored items with their weights. Send your requirements to HSYL.
